In November 2003, the CMMA (now NMMA Canada) Board of Directors completed a two-phase Strategic Plan for the association.
The main focus of the plan included:
(i) become more pro-active with membership;
(ii) increase member participation; and
(iii) enable Working Groups over which the CMMA (now NMMA Canada)
Board of Directors' would have governance.
Participation for the Working Groups is solicited from representatives of all NMMA Canada member companies. Each Working Group selects a Chair who reports to the Board at each NMMA Canada Board meeting. The Working Groups operate within the scope of work agreed to by the Board. In addition, they define a tangible work plan and objectives.
In most cases, meetings are held on an “as needed” basis and many are via tele-conference to enable more participation by a wide variety of members.
